This new home will add contemporary aesthetic to the rich architectural fabric of the Seattle floating home communities. The design utilizes efficient space planning, thoughtfulness to privacy boundaries, and maximization of views as it guiding principles.

The inverted floor plan, with bedrooms on the dock level and an open plan of living/dining/kitchen on the upper level, takes best advantage of views and breezes for most used spaces. High window bands across the bedrooms preserve privacy while allowing abundant daylight.  Exterior cladding will be a palette of stained cedar vertical board and battens, high density cement panels, and wood veneer panels.
