LOPEZ ISLAND HOME | WASHINGTON STATE

Back to In the Works

Our fourth project with this particular client features the construction of a 1300 sq.ft. Lopez Island home on this previously undeveloped property. The design offers a clean massing with a simple shed roof over the single story structure. Affectionately labeled by the client as her “dream house”, the subtle form upon approach opens to the views of the surrounding forest. The long, linear plan transverses from more public areas such as the living room and kitchen to more private areas, ending in the master bedroom. The house features a long series of decks both screened/open and covered/uncovered for use at anytime of the year. Wood as both structure and finish will be celebrated on both the interior and exterior of the building.
