MAGNOLIA HOUSE III | SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

A pipe explosion and major flooding led to this contemporary house remodel. Upon returning home from vacation, the owners of this house were greeted by the extensive damage that a plumbing malfunction caused in their absence. They owners opted to take advantage of the less-than-ideal situation to completely remodel of the home’s interior.

We worked closely with the clients to re-arranging elements of the plan to better suite their needs. By strategically moving or removing walls we created a generous open plan on the main floor. The new layout creates visual continuity between the daylight filled kitchen and living spaces. The clients also used this opportunity to modernize the interior finishes. The contrast between the Ipe hardwood floor and the white countertops and cabinets provided the clean, contemporary look desired by the owners.
